William C. Petty, M.D.

William C. Petty, M.D. joined Fort Wayne Radiology in 1990. Born in Lakeland, Florida, Dr. Petty moved to the Chicago area as a youngster and grew up in Des Plaines, Illinois. He earned his bachelors degree in Biology, Summa Cum Laude, from Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington, Illinois and his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Petty completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Illinois Hospital and the West Side Veterans Administration Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Petty practiced previously in Quincy, Illinois and Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Dr. Petty is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and the National Board of Medical Examiners. His professional memberships include the Indiana State Medical Association, American College of Radiology, Indiana Roentgen Society and Radiological Society of North America. He also belongs to the Society of Breast Imaging, Society of Radiology in Ultrasound and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. Dr. Petty's area of expertise is mammography.

Now residing on the southwest side of Fort Wayne with his wife and daughter, he is a past president of the Board of the American Cancer Society, Greater Fort Wayne Unit and past president of the Parkview medical staff.
