The 2006, 7th Annual Rockin’ Docs Musicfest will be held on Friday, September 8th and Saturday, September 9th from 5:00pm to Midnight, with the popular “Rockin’ Idol” talent contest on Saturday, September 9th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. To date, the event, held at Headwater’s Park, has donated over $180,000 to local non-profit programs.

The Musicfest will host several bands, including Frankie and the Bananas, Next Exit, Blues Path, Sheba, The Detours, The Distractions, Point of Departure and more. The Musicfest portion of the event is geared for the fun-loving adult (Over 21), provides a wide range of music and will run from 5:00pm to midnight on both nights. In addition to the wide range of music, food and drink, a silent auction, raffle and Rockin Docs merchandise is also available. Admission tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the gate. A special 2-day ticket can be purchased for $18 in advance or $20 at the gate. The family event, Rockin’ Idol talent contest, takes place on Saturday, September 10th from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Three groups of 35 children, ages 5-9, 10-14 and 15-18 sing their hearts out for assorted prizes. Registration is limited to the first 35 contestants who register and all registration is on-line only. There is an admission price of $5 per person, including contestants.

Rockin’ Docs Musicfest will donate 100% of the proceeds to Parkview Cancer Programs, Matthew 25 Health and Dental Clinic and Super Shots.
