Fort Wayne Radiology is proud to announce the 7th annual Rockin' Docs Musicfest will be held September 8th and 9th, 2006 at Headwater’s Park.

Since the inaugural event in 2000, Rockin' Docs Musicfest has raised over $180,000 benefiting local medical not for profits. Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Parkview Cancer Programs/Francine’s Friends, Matthew25 Health & Dental Clinic and Super Shots.

Rockin' Docs Musicfest will be held September 8th, 5:00pm - Midnight and September 9th, from 5:00pm to Midnight, at Headwater's Park. The event hosts several bands comprised of various medical and business professionals. A silent auction, silent chairITY and retail merchandise are also available. Tickets to the Musicfest are available for purchase to adults over 21, for $12.00 at the gate. The popular Rockin’ Idol, a talent contest for children, will be held on Saturday, Sept 9th, from 11:00 am to 3:00pm. Enrollment is limited to 35 for each of the 3 categories (ages 5-9, 10-14 and 15-18); winners in each category receive $100. Registration is available via www.rockindocsmusicfest.com only. Tickets for this event are $5.00.

The Oyster Bar offers a variety of delicious foods and full bar service. Anyone who has eaten at The Oyster Bar knows this is always a real crowd pleaser!”

While many Fort Wayne physicians' actively participate on hospital and medical related boards, others donate time and services to community outreach programs and special events such as Rockin' Docs Musicfest. “Rockin' Docs Musicfest” provides a unique venue to raise funds for these heavily utilized community programs. By benefiting Parkview Cancer Programs/Francine’s Friends, Matthew 25 Health & Dental and Super Shots, this is a fun event that truly benefits our community. In the past 6 years, this event has donated over $180,000. “The Fort Wayne area has seen an increase in residents requiring medical assistance. Matthew 25 alone has seen an increase in services of over 20%. We are a volunteer organization and donate 100% of our proceeds to area medical non-profits.” Says Rothermund. “Rockin’ Docs Musicfest is truly an event that benefits our own community”.
